Every time I get new bad vote, I have to go and see who else hates me!
I am getting worried that the bad votes might end up out-weighing the good votes! |

Lol... I would look too. Curious and all. I have one only, but my id is not everywhere like yours, lol. But I did wonder why actually. I don't know the
person. I guess either he does not like bears or maybe it is the fact that I have the "Arizona" id and he is also from there. Or maybe he just likes
pushing buttons on profiles. Guess I will never know. ;)

LOL You don't have to know the person! There is a board on ezboard where the memebrs get together and pass on yuku profile names of people to gang up on
next with bad votes. They think it's "fun".

Yup, I imagine a good number of "spitey" votes will be flying around. It doesn't hurt my feelings, but it does make me curious. Not curious
enough to bother asking the person though. I am too stubborn for that, hahahahha!

That is just pathetic but I can hardly say I am surprised that this is how people get their kicks.
For what it's worth, Alison, I gave you a  vote when I first migrated and
saw how much effort you put in around here and for taking the time to answer people's questions etc. Keep up the good work and don't let the idiots get
you down. 
Who is Brad Pitt anyway, is he one of the Yuku staff??? |

LOL! I've got two bad votes so far....and I have no idea why. Never spoke to either person...so I really dont' know what I've done to them. But....revenge is sweet...just return and give them bad votes. LOL!!!!!!

One of the ways they find people to give bad votes to is by surfing the help forum and picking people who've posted. Then they go through the people on those people's friend's lists. If you ask them about it, they will drag you through the mud on their forum. All because someone thought it would be cute to have a Bad/Good voting system on Yuku. |

what is particularly pathetic is that on my profile, they had to search through my source and find the link for a bad vote, since mine is hidding via css.
losers! at least I know exactly why I got voted bad... because I spoke my mind and asked for an option for voting. LOL they have only reinforced my feelings
on this stupid feature even more!! the only reason why I am annoyed at whoever made the feature is because I never asked to be rated, I don't want to know what people think of me good or bad. I just wanted to have a normal message board experience, and now when I log on
every morning, I see a 8/3 ratio of "what sort of a person people think of me" or something.
anyway, hopefully they will get to making it an option soon. until then, I have protested by making the voting tally under my friends' names on all of my profile skins the same as the background color! mwaha |

Cool idea Fava! I should try that! Only problem is it still shows on your friends' profiles, and when you click on that little I icon beside your name in any post you make. And yes, they brag about how they can get around the system and still give out bad votes even when they're hidden. and this... the only reason why I am annoyed at whoever made the feature is because I never asked to be rated, I don't want to know what people think of me good or bad. Perhaps we should start a petition and have it made as an option? One that can be turned off or on with a simple click of the button?

well brian says they will come back to the feature soon and look at getting it optional. sooo... there isn't much use in protesting more right now because
they won't do anything until then anyway.
however, if they end up saying 'it's here to stay with no option'.... time to haul out the big guns and do some heavy-duty complaining.

And then, thanks to a code I got from Arizona, I hid not only the number of votes, but also the online indicator and the little (i) icon. Interesting. When I applied that code, I could still see the little I beside my name in posts, but I couldn't see the I or the online indicator beside
peoples' names on my friends list. Strange thing though, I lost 8 people off my friends list and I didn't show up at all on some other peoples'
lists (but not the same people I'd lost)! When I removed the code, logged out and back in again, they came back and I returned to their lists. Weird

Jan, the disappearing friends thing was a glitch and is fixed now. There's a thread about it in the help forum. That must have been weird for you to be
playing around with that code and then see friends disappear! But it wasn't the code that did it.
I have the i and online/offline still available for my friends, but their good/bad votes I've got rid of. |
