Posts: 26 4 Jul, 2009 00:57	Tags : None I got this code from a cooking group that is put in the footer to limit the size of all pictures being posted in a thread. The limit is 300 but I would like to up it to 600 since we often have photos of our dogs feature on there. I think the 760 pix is too wide and often the messages below get so wide it causes people to have to skroll side to side. I don't have to do anything else other then change the number from 300 to 600 and stick it in the footer? Since the code will say limit to 600 it leaves alone the other photo's and tags that are smaller then 600 right? Posts: 28 4 Jul, 2009 18:31	I put the code you gave me and it didn't work at redusing the picture size. I tried also the code that I got from the lady and it didn't even work at reducing photo size . The picture still spilled over past the posting area? I stuck the code into the custum footer. Any ideas?

resident expert Posts: 2346 4 Jul, 2009 22:17 He who knows ALL (Well, ALMOST!)	Eventually I found a post with an oversize image here. The reason that image is not being reduced is that there is no form of image limitation either in that skin or your Global HTML whatsoever.

I can assure you that there is no image tamer script entered either in the skin or global HTML. Question: Where do you think the script is? i.e. where do you think you put the code?

What skin is being used where the actual posts are? Is the code in the right place? You will either need to place it in your Clipboard skin or your Global Footer in order for it to work.

Is it called Binder? Did I name it wrong? Just do this: Admin > Design > Customized Skins Press the 'Edit Global HTML' button. Paste the code into your second box and save.

resident expert Posts: 2356 5 Jul, 2009 11:10 He who knows ALL (Well, ALMOST!)	You're welcome. At 650px with that skin it will develop a scroll at the most common resolution. (1024px) At a guess, 550px might be optimal. Putting it in Global means that it will remain whatever skin you use either now or in the future.
