Hi Pink,
Looking pretty swish! I did however notice something really odd happening. If you view the help with board css forum, but use Internet Explorer 6 ( with SP1 and no other patches ) You can see santa running down the left hand side, he picks up all the unread icons and puts them in his bag, is it meant to do that? Great skin, Alison. The colors work well, the graphics are great, and I love the CSS background image in the buttons rather than a separate image for each
button.
Question, though. Is there a reason you chose a fixed width? The board is wider than my typical browser window. I've put #outer {width:90% !important} into Stylish, which works great for me.

Because the background image with the stripes can't be done neatly with a right and left corner and still keep the pattern consistant. What I could do is a
smaller image and then give you an option to choose it via the style switcher.
I could also play about small corner blocks, but the colour match of the html red and the gif red may not gel on all bit monitors since it's not a safe colour (ie, white or black!!). |

well, not every one, but quite a few yes. You would need small, medium and then large and just classify sets of resolutions to use them. ( a lot of work which
is easier said than done! )

I should have noticed the issue with the stripes. That certainly forces the need for a fixed width.
Don't put yourself through any extra work on my account, though. As I said, I have the issue addressed at the browser level. I'm pretty much a Stylish pro.
Still, I suppose it's good to keep in mind that 940 px is a bit wide for some users, either because of monitor limitations or personal choice. In my case, I find shorter lines easier to read, and I like to leave room on my desktop to have other stuff accessible. zoe, unless I understand this wrong, the monitor resolution script would sniff one's resolution rather than one's window size. In other words, it assumes one is browsing with their browser window covering the whole screen. With my 22" cinema monitor, I'd be rubbing Ben Gay into my neck with relative frequency if I used full-screen windows as a matter of routine.
