As Andrew said, if you just need to change a few things with your current skin, just use the copy button and edit the copy. In fact it is a good practice to make any changes to a skin using a copy. That way if you really mess up, you can delete the copy and start over and your good skin is still intact.

The import skin doesn't work exactly like an ezboard tdf, but it's not too different. I haven't really used it to export/import profile skins, but I use it frequently for board skins.

I'm going to start with exporting a skin, even though you asked about importing.

When you hit the export button, what happens next depends on your browser.

IE7
You get a pop up asking if you want to open, save or cancel.
If you just wanted to copy the code and email it to someone else or if you are just curious about the code, hit open.
In order to be able to import it later, hit save. It will save as an xml document and you'll get the standard Windows box asking you where you want to save it. I have a folder for all my ezboard/yuku stuff with a sub folder for skins.

Firefox 2.X and 3.X
The pop up says that you have chosen to open blah blah blah and wants to know what Firefox should do with the file. The choices are open with a drop down for program options. I've generally gone with XML Editor which opens it in IE. The other choice is Save File (just like IE)

Google Chrome beta
It goes straight to the Windows save box.

To import a skin, you just click on the Import button and you will get a page that has a field and a browse button so that you can find the saved xml document. (Chrome just has a Choose File button) Once you have located the skin, just click Import.

If you receive a skin via email or a PM or post, you would need to save the code to your computer as an xml document.
