I don't know what happened to my links. They no longer open in a new window when we click on them. I had it set up to open in a new window
when I made the switch to YUKU. This only happened a couple of days ago and I have been all over help topics trying to find out how to put it back like it was.
Could someone please tell me what to put into the proper box so they will open in a new window?

This is because of a recent upgrade.
I've experimented with this and even though I post the correct html code to make a link open in a new window, it still opens in the same one. There must be something that they have added to over-ride this. Sorry I can't help you right now but I will take this up and see if it can / will be sorted. |

Except it isn't.
I think what is happening is that when posting a URL as the "text" within a link that Convert URLs is messing up the code by making a double link. |

Not working for me. I only had one to work & I don't understand what you mean by text within a link. It also keeps breaking some of my links & the
only way I can get "some" of them to work is by hyperlinking.
I wish to God that YUKU would stop all of this maintenance & upgrading if it's going to create more problems for some of us. Everything was just fine the other day. Now I'm really aggrevated. |

Oh...and your test links are working fine "here", but when I get to my site, it's just the same old song & dance for me. In other words...not
working.

I use HTML to code my links, rather than bbcode. Maybe that's the key. |

It's the convert URLs working on the URL text within a link made in the WYSIWYG. It produces a messed up link within a link that opens in the same window.
I did that with HTML and it was fine even in preview yet when posted, messed up! |

I have officially given up. I don't understand half of this mumbo-jumbo PC talk so what I do is just hyperlink which opens "most" pages in a new
window. I do thank everyone for trying to help the "illiterate" one here though.

Carmen, you have got to understand that things have changed. There is currently a bug with that change.
You have two options of making links and ones that work and neither are the way you used to do it a few days ago. That is the way that is all bugged at the moment. Either, just paste the url and DO NOT make it a link and it will turn into a link in the post now or make the post as you are accustomed to but before you submit that post, uncheck "Convert URLs" at the bottom of the post editor. |

I do understand that things have changed. It's just aggrevating for some of us. And I have tried the pasting without making a link and have also unchecked
the Convert URL's box. (most still didn't work properly).
I'm just going to continue like I'm doing now (hyperlinking, which is working 95% of the time) & not worring about it anymore. Definitly not worth worrying myself to death over. Thanks for the help though...Carmen |

I had another thought. If you edit posts with long URLs the hyperlink can get messed up. That is yet another bug.
They know about them and hopefully they will get fixed soon. |

Thanks for the info. I noticed they did a quick maintenance while I was in the middle of posting last night. Lasted about 5 minutes. Didn't seem to affect
anything on my board though. Just keeping my fingers crossed...for the good, that is.
