I've seen some profiles which seem to belong to a "subdomain" called Fotolog. A person's profile will be something like: SciFiGuy.fotolog.yuku.com. I've also noticed that Fotolog is a separate domain: http://www.fotolog.com. Can you explain to us what Fotolog is and what their relationship is with Yuku? Is Fotolog a separate company, or Yuku using a dba? Thank you. |

There is a community of Fotolog users. http://fotolog.yuku.com/ Anyone who registers at that board will get that
extension.

 Oh, that makes sense. I don't know why I didn't realize that.
I must say, the folks who designed that board (along with their home page at fotolog.com), were very clever in the way they designed it to make it seem like a whole message board/profile system until itself. Reading over some of the comments people were posting, they apparently think they are posting on a message board system called Fotolog, rather than Yuku. I've even seen where the folks running it have copied official Yuku announcements and reposted them so that they seem to come from Fotolog. ...I might add, too -- now I understand why Yuku has done the local handles the way it has. It helps the local community to seem like it is its own separate domain. |
