Missing Kids banner gives errors |
Lead | ||
|
I tried to insert the Missing Kids code, and it gives me a Java Runtime error. All I did was enter the <missing kids> tag into one of the fields in my
sidebar. Once I click thru the pop-up errors it displays the area in the sidebar (proper size) but doesn't load the banner.

Missing kids is freezing Firefox 2.0.0.8 on XP and producing a white box approx 400px x 150px with a red X in the top left. IE is rendering the page, only with
this massive white space.
Example (but be quick) http://my-test-board.yuku.com/ |

The script is functioning fine for me in both Firefox 3.0.1 and Internet Explorer 7. All it does is print out the applet code taken directly from the missing
children website without any changes by Yuku. If the applet isn't working for you then the problem is likely on your end (or the applet itself).
Try updating your jre installtions For IE7: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp For Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7 |

Updated java and cleared caches. Both still white boxes with a red X. It now no longer freezes Firefox.

I will try on a couple other computers here at home and see if I can mimic my results or get new ones

I got mine fixed. I had the URL banner.missingkids.com blocked in my security settings (twice).

Thanks... I forgot to report back that I got mine fixed. I went to Java support and they had some suggestions. I did like the first 5 things and it cleared up
so not sure what of those 5 things fixed it
