I'm having trouble with my header image. Someone made it for me and they will not be available for quite awhile. They did not crop it evenly so the
image will not center. I've tried various image editors but it is a .png and the ones I know of won't load them. I tried an image conversion editor but
that changes the image.
Is there a way I can add padding to the image?

Oh I wanted to also ask how can I get the the " View Contributors" link and the "Advanced Search link to look like the other buttons?
and what code to I use in case I decide to hide the contribute and view contributors buttons? |

Yuku doesn't provide sufficient classes or IDs to turn View Contributors into a button at its present location on the page.
As an option, Contribute Now! and View Contributors can be hidden from that spot via CSS, and the links can be pasted into your header or footer. That way, you can put in all the HTML you need, use the button class, and make things match. Yuku also offers the Custom Boxes script. That should allow you to place those links in your choice of several locations, although not absolutely everywhere. Just like in the headers or footers, you should be able to use any HTML and CSS you like to make them look cool. Note, however, that as of a couple of weeks ago, the script wasn't working right. Chris (the developer) says he fixed the code, but I'm not sure if the new code has been pushed. Here's the pertinant thread: Custom boxes (domain scripts help).

Addendum: I forgot the hiding stuff.
You can hide the buttons, while also disallowing contributions, by hitting the Disallow Contribution button in the Contributor Settings of your control panel. If you want to continue to allow contributions, but not show the links, pasting this code into the Advanced CSS section of your skin will work: .contribute * {display:none}We've gone that route on our smaller board. Contributions are actually allowed, but the links are hidden. If Gold starts to run out, the admins and mods have the contribution link and one of us can toss in $6. |

That's the link Casey posted in #4 Lasher... she cropped the image properly to remove the additional space on the left, which was causing it to look
off-center.

Actually, that's Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Prince Fielder before he grew to 260 pounds. Since I'm an admin at Brewerfan, I figure it's a good choice.
