Hi, I have been searching through the posts and can't find this information. I had read before that it was in the works for an easier drop down style editor like ezboard has for customising skins, is that something that is coming soon. Also, will we be able to have different skins for each forum or just the one skin for the whole board? Thanks for any help.

it should be coming soon - there will be a push (update with new features) tomorrow hopefully, I don't know if it will contain that or not though, but you
might want to pay attention tomorrow or the next day to see if it is.
and yes forum specific everything should be coming too I have heard. |

Oh yes, the domain skin wysiwyg editor is part of the next push
 There's also
a few additions to the skin engine you should find useful.
Forum specific skins are a planned feature, they just haven't been implemented yet

I don't know if Yuku have any plans for this but I have been wishing for a couple of things today, while playing about with domain skins:
1. A way to copy a user created skin from one domain to another I've been testing on one domain and had to copy and paste everything to the saved skins area on my main domain - a bit of a PITA to say the least. 2. An export/import function for domain skins, like on EzBoard, for backup/restoral purposes. When you spend so much time tweaking and developing a skin it makes sense to have a copy of your work somewhere safe, you never know when disaster might strike (user error or a Yuku problem spring to mind) Maybe these are on the cards already, I hope so! I'm looking forward to seeing the new editor and the additions you speak of, Chris.

I think both of your points come under the one feature - import/export of a whole skin. I think Alison was bandying about the idea of being able to upload a
zip file, or something similar...
It's certainly easy to have an import/export method like ezboard's TDFs so you manually upload your images and import a text file (like the smilies are done at the moment) |

Yes, both points are sort of related... I wasn't thinking straight. LOL!
I really do hope this will be available sometime - I'm sure I'm not the only person to wish it were possible. Programmers please take note of Alison's request.... pretty please? 
I think this would also be very helpful for situations where you want to to clone a profile or domain skin that you want to keep in place until the new, tweaked skin is ready to be unveiled. Many people will want to keep a lot of their personalised elements going from skin to skin so I think adapting previous work will be a common practice. Cloning is a bit difficult at the moment but an import/export feature would make it much easier to transform a fresh library skin into another copy that you can work on. I should go and post this in the suggestions forum, shouldn't I. If I can find it that is, hehe.

Well if you take a look in your admin area now under the community skins you will see the new features I was talking about
 You can copy an existing skin in your library (not from another board
unfortunately), you can make a brand new (empty) skin with the button at the bottom, and both the user and domain wysiwyg editors are there
