I had that happen to me the other day after doing the latest download from F/f, before this latest download 'preview' was working fine, I tried
cleaning out cache, etc but nothing worked. After much frustration I later switched to I.E.8 and it worked fine in there. Maybe you will have to do same?

Thanks for your help. Will give it a try.I know everything was working fine just like it was for you. I even
added it to the allow and it still would not work. What is kind of funny is everyone in my yuku group was getting to see me working on my pages as I was
changing things. lol lol
Thanks again. Grandma Bobbie |

if you can't get it to work, try just applying the skin that you're working on to a private test forum, or your admin forum so that you can muck about
without scaring the natives!

@ Jayne, nope in my case I was looking straight at it but it
wasn't showing me what it should have been showing.
I'm now wondering with avatars coming and going and the twice now of having to come in the back door to get to any Yuku board or like last night nothing loading at all has this also mucked up the 'Preview' window - wouldn't surprise me.

I have not tried firefox for some time now.I am now using a different browser...Safari and it even seems to run faster. The only problem I have with it is that
I can not get the tool bar for my message to show up with I have my setting set to wysiwyg, but now if I have it set to bbcode I have my tool bar in my message
to use. It is nice to have my pages open faster and load faster for I have dial up. Thanks for all the help. Grandma Bobbie

You can't see the toolbar for wysiwyg because yuku hardcoded it in to prevent all safari users from seeing it.
This is entirely my fault! The wysiwyg editor didn't work with the version of safari out at the time, since it's DOM support wasn't too great. Most of the tools worked, but a couple failed totally. I was trying to get them to fix those in some way, when I triggered a developer meltdown. He disabled the entire wysiwyg editor from safari users because i'd pissed him off. Chris kindly created the bbcode editor so that anyone who used safari - or any other browser that didn't work with the wysiwyg editor - could still format text. The later versions of Safari support the DOM required to run the wysiwyg editor, but because it's been hardcoded in to prevent safari from using it, you don't get the option. But there is a way to turn it on. Safari has a developer menu that is off by default. If you go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced and tick the box beside Show develop menu in menu bar then you'll see a whole new menu item when you return to your browser page. Click on Develop > User Agent > Firefox 3.5 (Mac) and you'll fool yuku into thinking you're using firefox. The page will redload, the wysiwyg menu will appear (if you have that set in your preferences - if you've chosen bbcode, then you'll still be using that). Copy any text you'd already typed in before you do that, since it's going to reload the page. You'll have to do that each time you open up the window, as it will always revert to Safari when you open new windows. |

Instead of using "preview," why don't you just do your work in a Private forum? Then, when you have it exactly the way you want it, open the forum to all, or copy and paste the code into the other forum. |

...because from day one ive always just clicked preview...i dont want to start making new forums just to look at something that used to take a second to
view...i do about 4 or 5 skins and have them ready for occasions and just change the skins when needed.
Ok well looks like i have to use IE to preview...

I can preview fine in FF ... it's strange why you wouldn't be able to.
Of course I do get the preview bug when I do it!! lol
