I would like to have a banner up on my message board, like I said right on top of the page...But I don't know how to get it up. So any help would be great.
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Randi

How do you put a banner up on the message board? |

Hi...I'm new here. I was just wondering...I wanted to put a banner up on my message board, at the very top of the page...how do I do that? Here's a
message board that I go to for an example: http://z13.invisionfree.com/Burtons_Board (the part that has
all the pictures and text that says Steve Burton Unleashed).

Hello RC and welcome. When you are on your board, look up in the navigation bar at the top and click on the "Admin" link. When the Boards Control
Panel opens look in the Design box and click the Customized Skins link. You have only one skin in your list and it is not "applied" so first you
should click on the apply (blue button to the right) and apply the skin as the default. Then look at the blue buttons again and choose the one that says
images. After you click that, the first entry in the list that opens is for your banner url. Just paste your url in there and save.

Does anyone know the correct dimensions the banner should be?

There aren't really any. I always suggest people bear in mind the people who may visit on lower resolutions or dial-ups but you can use what you want.

Ok. Thanks. I was using a gif with a transparent background and it looked pixelated. I just changed it to a jpeg with the same color bg as the header and it
looks great now. Oh and I used 700x200 pixels. Worked best out of all that I tried.

I sometimes have that problem with gifs, particularly if I use Animation Shop on it.
