Help shrinking front page-using evil cuteness...

Posts: 5 7 May, 2008 09:07	Tags : None First of all, I am very new to customizing boards. I am trying to use the Evil Cuteness skin, but I can't get the header to look right and the home page is terribly long. Here's what it looks like: I would like the banner (My Imaginary Friends 2001) to be on the same line as the characters above. Hopefully that will shrink things a little. Also, the section that says "Welcome to the 2001 Parenting forum" and has any yuku announcements - does that have to be at the top? As it stands right now, everyone has to scroll down just to see the list of forums. Our board is private, so I'm not sure if you can actually view it, but this is it: http://inciidapril2001parents.yuku.com/ Thanks for any help you can offer.

super helper Posts: 2817 8 May, 2008 22:12	Hi cmdixon, which browser are you using? It's looking fine and adjusting fine in Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 so I can't see what you're seeing for width. The easiest would be to replace the odd critters image with your own banner. Or do you want to keep the odd critters image on the skin?

Posts: 5 9 May, 2008 01:18	Thanks for replying. I like the odd critters, so I'd really like to have my banner mixed with them - I guess that's how you'd describe it. Also, can I move the box that lists any yuku announcements to the bottom of the page? It takes up a lot of real estate at the top. By the way, I am using Firefox and IE6. I'm not really sure what browser my members are using, but they've all asked if I can shrink it up so they see the list of discussion boards more towards the top. Does that make sense? The width is fine, it's the height that I'm trying shrink. Thanks again for helping! Colleen

domain staff Posts: 544 9 May, 2008 17:04	I made a copy of your skin and moved the banner up into the header with the monsters. It still isn't quite perfect and I haven't tested on different browsers but hopefully it's closer to what you were wanting. Btw, if possible it would help if you cut off the extra blank space around your banner image. It makes it harder to center the image. There should be no empty space at all around the image if possible.
