It doesn't take that long. All I did was use one browser to grab the PMs and you can stop the page so long as all the messages are there and collapsed and another browser to surf and post. I just avoided opening messages for a while. After the inbox was done, I checked messages and responded if necessary and did my sent folder after that. Using the "All Files" option allowed me to name files like m0_in_**.mbox

I saved over 10,000 and now have a great working search and sorting facility. Once you have them imported, you can move them around at leisure and I found no issue.
